<p>In a study reported in the Archives of Internal medicine, the practice of meditation is transcendental can significantly reduce insulin resistance, decrease blood pressure and reduce heart rate disturbances. &#8220;We can use the relationship between body and mind to open the core intelligence that can bring healing psychology for diabetes and heart disease, &#8220;said Dr. Robert Scheneider, director of the Institute for Natural Medicine and Prevention of Maharishi University.</p>
<p>In terms of reducing insulin resistance, Scheneider noted, &#8220;treatment of this disease can make it rich drug producers. And we can do this by intensive exercise and weight reduction, &#8220;said the author of Total Hearth Health. In his research, Schneider and his team studied 103 volunteers who been diagnosed with heart disease. <p>Meditation has many benefits for the body because it activates parasympathetic, part of the autonomous nervous system, which helps relieve fight or flight response, triggered by the nervous system sympathetic.</p>
<p>While sympathetic system is activated by stress, the body will out certain hormones that make the body become resistant on insulin. While the parasympathetic system is activated, body cells become more responsive to insulin.</p>
